Stagecoach, in partnership with Kent County Council (KCC) and Dover District Council are launching Dover Fastrack, a new rapid bus service that will connect Whitfield, Dover town centre and Dover Priory Station.
New road infrastructure has been provided to support the service, including the construction of Red Kite Road, Farmstead Way, improvements to Dover Road, and a new dedicated bridge for Fastrack services which will run across the A2.
The new service will also benefit from the Pencester Road Contraflow scheme, expected to be finished in February 2025. Changes to Pencester Road will allow Dover Fastrack to serve Dover town centre more effectively with a route that provides bus priority and greater journey time reliability over other available routes. If you would like more information on the Pencester road scheme, please visit the KCC website.
From Sunday 17 November, the service will begin operation, with buses running every 20 minutes between Monday to Saturday, and every 60 minutes on Sundays. During 2025, further service improvements are planned, including the introduction of an electric fleet, and extended hours of operation to match the London High Speed rail services.
Timetable information can be accessed via the Fastrack website under the timetable page.
